MaplesFS recently supported the Cayman Islands Gymnastics Association in preparation to send local gymnasts to the Bermuda 2013 NatWest Island Games XV. As a silver sponsor, MaplesFS made a donation that will not only support this international team, but also help fund a program that will target local schools to promote the physical benefits of gymnastics.

“We are proud to support these gymnasts and wish them every success at the games next year,” said MaplesFS CEO, Scott Somerville. “MaplesFS is committed to giving back to our local community and, with the generous donations of our valued clients, the MaplesFS Limited Community Services Committee is able to sponsor opportunities such as this.”

Following the success of individual competitors, Lauren Hill and Katie Scott in 2011, this is the first time that the Association will send a team to represent Cayman at the Island Games.  Gymnasts Hillary Cockhill, Bethany Dikau, Jessica Lloyd, Morgan Lloyd and Haley Wilkom join Hill and Scott as contenders for the games next summer.

“There is a strong future for gymnastics in the Cayman Islands. Some of our youngest athletes demonstrate the talent, dedication and work ethic that it takes to be successful in the international arena,” National Coach, Sorin Rad, said.
