Kittitian honoured in Cayman Islands for his work in health research

Dr Samuel Rawlins of St Kitts/Nevis was on 20th April awarded the Caribbean Health Research Council (CHRC) Honours Award at the recently concluded annual meeting held this year at George Town, Grand Cayman.

The annual event of the Council and Scientific meetings is the premier health research meeting of the English-speaking Caribbean, which is held in a different Caribbean country each year.

At this meeting a health/medical scientist who has made an outstanding contribution to health research in the region is honoured.

This year it was the turn of Dr Sam Rawlins of St Kitts/Nevis who has had a life time of teaching and research at the University of the West Indies and at the Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC), PAHO/WHO.
