ECLAC Caribbean releases documentary on impacts of Irma and Maria across the Caribbean

(3 May 2018) The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) subregional headquarters for the Caribbean has released an exclusive new documentary on the impacts of hurricanes Irma and Maria across the Caribbean.

Featuring unique content, on-site interviews and on-the-ground footage shot in the immediate aftermath of the disasters, ‘Irma & Maria’ takes an insider’s look at the consequences of the disasters on peoples’ lives, and offers behind the scenes insights into the work carried out by ECLAC in the wake of the hurricanes.

The documentary was very well received by Caribbean Prime Ministers and Ministers during its first official airing, which took place during the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee meeting, in Saint Lucia, on 27 April 2018.

Given the mediatic pull that these events garnered a few months ago, we would be most appreciative if you could kindly consider sharing the documentary, and giving it visibility through your traditional and social media channels.
