Dart donates to Cayman Islands International College

ICCI Students Receive TechnologyDart’s continued commitment to the advancement of education in the Cayman Islands was demonstrated by the donation of eight Dell laptops, two Kindles and twelve iPad Air devices to the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI).

Dart believes that education empowers individuals of all ages, and ICCI’s student body is representative of this. Minds Inspired, Dart’s educational initiative, focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and ICCI has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the advancement of STEM education in Cayman.

This donation — valued at approximately CI$ 13,000 — will enhance programmes and build students’ skills as they prepare to enter or progress in the workforce. “Investing in Cayman’s future leaders and innovators is what Minds Inspired does,” said Chris Duggan, Dart’s VP Community Development. “The Dart family’s values and philosophy towards educational excellence is a never-ending pursuit of improvement. We hope that this new technology complements the great learning atmosphere provided by the ICCI facility and students.”

Dr. David Marshall, Ph.D., President of ICCI, said this about the donation: “We know that technology is crucial to achieving the high-quality world-class education that our graduates need to be successful in Cayman’s knowledge-based economy. With these tools, our students will be learning how to apply technology in the workplace through sharpening their skills in digital communications, working in virtual teams, enhancing efficiency and promoting the mobility of business operations. We are very grateful to Dart for this important contribution to ICCI’s online learning initiative. This gift reflects our shared values of enhancing education and working to improve the quality of life in Cayman.”
