Cuba and Russia strengthen strategic partnership at UN meeting

NEW YORK, USA (ACN) — Cuba and Russia strengthened their strategic relations at a meeting of their foreign ministers, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and Sergei Lavrov, respectively, within the framework of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Prensa Latina reported.

The meeting included an exchange of opinions on current issues relating to the Russian-Cuban strategic partnership, including issues on the regional and international agendas.

Special attention was also paid to the development of trade and humanitarian relations, as well as to the improvement of the legal basis of the agreements between the two nations.

The diplomats noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the political dialogue between Russia and Cuba, as well as the common search for cooperation within the framework of the UN and other multilateral spaces, according to the Russian ministry of foreign affairs.
