Concacaf and Scotiabank to make announcement Tuesday at Akron Stadium

Draw for Scotiabank Concacaf Under-13 Champions League will follow announcement, amid Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League final match-day-minus-one preparations

Miami (Monday, April 23, 2018) – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) and Scotiabank will make a partnership announcement on Tuesday, April 24, at 4 pm at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio and Scotiabank Deputy General Director for Mexico Ivan Lomeli will participate in the event, which will be followed by the draw for the 2018 Scotiabank Concacaf Under-13 Champions League. Mr. Moggio and Mr. Lomeli will be available for questions following the announcement.

The partnership announcement comes amid a full day of match-day-minus-one festivities for the Final of the 2018 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League.

The 2018 edition of the Scotiabank Concacaf Under-13 Champions League will take place August 12-23, 2018, in Toluca, Mexico. The draw to be held Tuesday at Estadio Akron, will sort the sixteen participating clubs into four groups of four.

After the conclusion of the U-13 Champions League draw, CD Guadalajara will conduct their official press conference ahead of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League final, followed by the official training with 15 minutes of opening training for media to collect B-roll. A mixed zone session will follow practice.

Visiting Toronto FC will conduct its press conference at 9:30 am Tuesday at the Estadio Akron, followed by official training, and mixed zone session following training.
