Given his status as former governor, Mr Long, who passed away on 11st August 2019, is entitled to receive an Official Funeral.  The commemorative service will feature a guard of honour, flags at half-mast and a 21 gun salute by the graveside. Mr Long served as Governor from 1968 – 1971.

All flags are to be flown at half-mast from Monday, 12th August until Tuesday, 13th August to mark the official period of mourning.
