Kadejah Bodden, 24, from Bodden Town won Miss Cayman Universe crown last Saturday night (17) at The Ritz-Carlton hotel in front of an enthusiastic audience of around six hundred. She was crowned by last year’s winner Caitlin Tyson.

Kadejah also won Best in Gown, Best Legs and Best Smile. She received a $70,000 scholarship plus other prizes that came with winning the title.  She will now act as an ambassador for the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism for the next twelve months.

Other results were: Mariah Tibbetts, first runner-up. She also won the People’s Choice Award and secured a $20,000 scholarship. Mahalia Seymour, second runner-up and received a $2,500 scholarship. Samantha Dixon Miss Photogenic. Aleka Beckford, Miss Personality.

All the contestants were escorted to the stage by handsome uniformed officers from Her Majesty’s Cayman Islands Prison Service.

Kadejah holds a master’s degree in regenerative medicine from Queen Mary University of London.

She will now travel to South Korea in December to take part in the Miss Universe pageant, and maybe, bring that crown home to us.
