Cayman Islands: Wounding on Eastern Avenue in George Town, 9 December

About 3:30AM on Saturday morning, 9 December, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a wounding on , in the vicinity of the junction.

It was reported that the man and woman got into an argument with someone in the parking lot, and the suspect in the matter, a man not known to either of them, assaulted them with an unknown object causing a laceration to man’s head and a laceration to the woman’s arm. The victims reportedly ran away from the location and as a result the vehicle key and the woman’s hand bag containing cash and other valuables were stolen.

At the scene officers observed a man was bleeding from the head and the woman from the arm;  they were both taken to the hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Three (3) men, one (1) 18 year-old of and two (2) 19 year-olds both of George Town, along with one juvenile male was arrested in relation to this incident. They have all be bailed pending further investigations.
