Further to the below, police can now confirm the age and nationality of the victim in yesterday’s water-related death in George Town. He is a 68-year-old man from the US.

Shortly after 10:45AM today, 23 October, police responded to a report of a person who had encountered difficulties while snorkeling off the George Town waterfront. Emergency services arrived and the man, who was unresponsive, was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital. He has been pronounced dead. The man was a visitor to the island.
