Cayman Islands: Robbery reported in George Town last night, 27 February

Shortly before 10:45PM yesterday, 27 February, officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery in the vicinity of Patricks Island, George Town. Upon arriving home and exiting their vehicle, a man and a woman were approached by two masked men who brandished firearms and demanded cash. After being informed by the victims that they were not carrying cash, the men took them into the residence, where a quantity of cash and some personal items were taken. The men then fled in what appeared to be a dark-coloured sedan. No one was injured during the incident.

One of the suspects is described as being about 6’ tall of slim to medium build and light complexion. The other is described as about 5’5”, of slim build and dark complexion. Police conducted searches of the area but did not find anyone matching the descriptions given.

The incident is currently under investigation by officers from the George Town CID.
