The Pirates Week Festival is in search of dashing pooches and daring owners to take part in its Pirate Pooch Parade. The event is set for Saturday 19th November (see flyer attached) on Harbour Drive in George Town between 9:00am and 10.30am.

The now annual fundraiser will benefit the Humane Society which is dedicated to helping animals here in the Cayman Islands.

The dogs dressed in costume will parade around a short section of Harbour Drive with their owners in tow. A selection of pet costumes is available for sale at the Pirates Week Souvenir shop behind the National Museum on Shedden Road.

Pet parents and their pooches will be entered to win a round trip ticket on Cayman Airways in the Pooch Parade Facebook Photo Contest.

2. Vote for your favourite pooch. The image with the most likes will win!

Voting for the Pooch Parade Facebook Photo Contest will begin on Monday 21st November and close on Wednesday 30th November. The winner will be notified on Thursday 1st December.

Registration for the Pirate Pooch Parade can be done online at www.caymanactive.com or at 8:30am on event day; a t-shirt is included (first 50 registrants) in the $25 registration fee.
