Cayman Islands Captive Forum has already 1,200 registrations – ‘set for huge success’

Insurance Managers Association-logoThe 2014 Cayman Captive Forum is set to be another huge success, with registrations approaching the 1,400 mark. Hosted by the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC), the annual conference, which is to be held December 2nd to December 4th, 2014 at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman is now the world’s largest captive insurance conference.

Chairperson of IMAC, Robert Leadbetter, said “We have gone to great lengths ensure that we treat attendees to a rewarding and educational experience. If there is one thing to take away from the Forum, it is that the Cayman Islands represent Clearly Better Business.”

In addition Mr. Leadbetter explained “attendees can look forward to a terrific line-up of ninety-three speakers covering thirty-four relevant issues ranging from Insuring Independent Physicians to Cyber Risk, as well as a nineteen year old’s account of his huge physical, emotional and logistical challenges of conducting a climate change research expedition in the Antarctic. We are also particularly pleased to present our keynote speaker, Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist, a futurist and a communicator and popularizer of science.”

The annual Cayman Captive Forum supports many IMAC initiatives throughout the year, including efforts to spread the good word about Cayman as a captive domicile, but equally importantly to support the IMAC Scholarship Fund. This fund is currently funding seven Caymanian students to pursue their tertiary education overseas and has to date funded 29 students over the past 20 years.
