Cayman Islands 3rd Annual KPMG Glow Run 5K

Cheque Presentation KPMG Marketing Manager Astra Watler and Trust Marketing Manager Danielle WatlerWith a total of 635 registered runners last year, The National Trust will partner with KPMG  to host  the 3rd annual Glow Run 5K in Grand Cayman on Saturday, June 4th. In keeping with the theme “Light up the Night for a Brighter Future”, participants are encouraged to dress in bright costumes, face paint, and luminous accessories. This popular run will start at 7pm at the entrance of Safe Haven, with the halfway point turnaround in front of Holiday Inn returning to the entrance of Safehaven to the finish line.
Event entertainment will be provided by Flo-Motion before, during and after the run;highlights include a glow hoola hoop performer and fire dancer as well as acrobatic performances.  Production services will be provided by by AI Rentals who have planned a glow tunnel at the start and finish lines as well as impressive stage lighting.  Island Naturals will be providing mini fruit kebabs, watermelon juice and gluten free muffinsto participants and  the Paradise Pixies team will be on hand for  face painting.  Participants will also have an opportunity to purchase glow body henna by Shilpa Tagalpallewar for a minimal fee of CI $10 with part proceeds going towards the National Trust.  Smokin Bros food truck will be on site and drinks and glow items will be on sale  all set to music by Star 92.7’s radio personality Selecta Renegade who will double as the event emcee.
Prizes from our sponsors will be given to the top three finishers for the male, female and children’s category as well as the best costumes and team who displays best team spirit in the most creative way. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to show up and get glowed up to run or walk. Each participant will receive a runner’s pack with goodies from our event sponsors. Additional glow items are available at the Trust merchandise store located in Dart Family Park, South Sound.
Registration fees for Trust members  are CI $25, non-members CI $35 and children ages 3 to 12 CI$20. Those who sign up for membership will receive three additional glow items in their runner pack.
The KPMG “Glo Hard or Go Home” photo booth and non-toxic glow powder and paint stations will again be fun features on this year’s route and this year a new glow bubble station has been added to route.
