Butterfield & Cayman Gift Certificates.com give back to Cayman Charities

thumb_Butterfield.pngLaunched late 2013, Cayman Gift Certificates™ is the only website where you can purchase gift certificates from Caymanian vendors from anywhere in the world.   The process is simple: online shoppers visit www.caymangiftcertificates.com, select a participating vendor, and immediately send an electronic gift certificate to a friend, colleague, or loved one.

Last July, Cayman Gift Certificates™ introduced a philanthropic aspect to the business allowing visitors (globally) to donate to local charities. CGC offers a free payment porthole, absorbing all processing fees letting the charity of choice to receive 100% of the donation, guaranteed (this is Cayman Gift Certificates™’s way of giving back to the community). Payment can be made by debit or credit card, the charity is notified of the contribution, and the money is directly transferred to the chosen charity.

In conjunction with Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited (“Butterfield”) and First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), CGC ensures the very latest technology in risk management for credit and debit cards, making transactions completely safe.

Founder, Mr. Robert Hamaty, remarks, “We have a long association with both Butterfield and First Atlantic Commerce. We worked together to launch the first e-commerce site in the Cayman Islands when Tortuga began selling rum cake online.” Mr. Hamaty further affirms, “Giving back to the local community has always been at the forefront of business relations. Butterfield has a long history of encouraging progress and enriching lives through support of local organisations. Both companies are fuelled by a passion and commitment to serve our customers and the community in which we live and work. We thank Butterfield for their partnership”.

At present, the following (twenty-one) charities are registered on the site with a total of $22,338 funds raised: Breast Cancer Foundation, Cayman AIDS Foundation, Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts (CARE), Cayman Islands Humane Society, Cayman Islands Red Cross, Canine Friends, Cayman Heart Fund, Cayman HospiceCare, Cayman Islands Cancer Society, Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, Cayman Islands National Museum, Estella Scott-Roberts Foundation, Feed Our Future, Feline Friends, Meals on Wheels, National Trust Cayman Islands, National Council of Voluntary Organisations, Rotary Sunrise Grand Cayman, Six For Hospice Care, Special Needs Foundation Cayman, and The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman. CGC encourages shoppers to consider making a donation to any of the worthy causes while shopping online for friends and family.
