Foxborough, Massachusetts – In its last friendly prior to meeting Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup next month, the United States fell 4-1 to Brazil on Tuesday at Gillette Stadium.

Barcelona star Neymar came off the bench to score two goals, while Hulk and Rafinha added one apiece for the South Americans. Substitute Danny Williams got the Americans on the scoreboard with a brilliant effort from distance a minute into second-half stoppage time.

With the game only nine minutes old, the visitor took a 1-0 lead. Just before running over the end line, Willian sent a ball from the right wing that banged off the crossbar. The rebound went to Hulk, who put a move on his defender and drilled a shot from eight yards with three U.S. players — Michael Orozco, Yedlin DeAndre and Alejandro Bedoya — in front of him and past goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

The Brazilians struck for three more goals during a 16-minute span in the second half.

In the 50th minute, Neymar doubled the advantage by converted a penalty kick after being taken down in the box by Geoff Cameron.

Rafinha made it 3-0 in the 64th minute off a Lucas Moura feed from a counterattack.

Moura assisted again in the 67th minute as Neymar netted for the 46th time in 67 internationals.

With the clock winding down, U.S. defender Tim Ream played a square ball from the left to the middle for Williams to fire from 32-yards out off the outstretched hands of diving goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe and into the back of the net.

The U.S. will look to regroup prior to squaring off against Mexico on October 10 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, for a place in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
