A Slice of Jamaican Christmas for JN Money Transfer Customers

SOUTH FLORIDA – Jamaicans in the Diaspora across the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada and the Cayman Islands will experience a touch of a truly Jamaican Christmas when they step into a JN Money Transfer Branch, or Agent location, in their community.

On selected days from December 11 to Christmas Eve, customers sending money from any of these four countries will be able to bite into a slice of the traditional Jamaican Christmas cake; have a drink of rich sorrel, appropriately enhanced; and be able to mingle with staffers when they visit JN Money Transfer locations. This “Yuletide taste of Jamaica” is in addition to the traditional Jamaican décor in the offices; and the cheerful sounds of carols with an island flavour, to enhance the ambience.

“The touch of home will be part of our continued effort to maintain connections between Jamaicans in the Diaspora, particularly at Christmas, through the popular Greetings Across The World televised programme, an endearing highlight of the holiday season over the past 24 years,” Leesa Kow, General Manager, at JN Money Services Limited, pointed out.

“This initiative to convey the joys of a Jamaican Christmas throughout our branch and Agent locations overseas helps to maintain that ‘Jamaican flavour’ that we have been celebrating this year, as we recognised 50 years of political Independence,” she stated, noting that in addition to the Jamaican Christmas treats, customers who visit JN Money Transfer offices will be able to access multiple opportunities to win great prizes in the brand’s 12 Delightful Days of Christmas promotion.

Customers standing before the Teller in any JN Money Transfer Branch or Agent in the US, UK, Canada and Grand Cayman, when a special alarm goes off, will be able to choose a prize from the 12 Delightful Days of Christmas board. In addition, customers who visit JN Money Transfer Agents will be selected randomly to win prizes and JN Money Transfer will contact them within 24 hours to provide details about how they can redeem their prizes. These prizes include, flat screen televisions, smart phones, iPod Nanos and baskets of traditional Jamaican items.

“This is a wonderful way to culminate the numerous activities from the start of year 2012 through the summer and the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London, at which Jamaica took centre stage. And, there is no Christmas celebration like a Jamaican one, particularly a festive season following the celebration of 50 years of independence!” Miss Kow declared.

“And, we are also offering discounts on money transfer fees to customers who send money to JN Money Transfer Cards this Christmas,” she added.

These discounts range from $1.00 and $2.00 for JN Money Transfers from North America and The Cayman Islands; and between £1.00 and £2.00 from the United Kingdom.

“We also want to add value to the experience of our customers as we share the taste, sounds and goodwill of our Jamaican Christmas celebrations with them,” Miss Kow maintained, “And these initiatives are special ways in which we can reward customers for their loyalty throughout the year.”
