7th Annual CISPA Gala Honours New Caymanian Accounting Professionals

2013 CISPA Gala HonoureesGeorge Town, Grand Cayman – 30 September 2014 – The Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA) will be honouring eleven Caymanians who have recently attained their accounting designation at the Society’s 7th Annual Gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman on Saturday, 11 October 2014.

The group being honored this year includes the newly qualified accountants, in addition to UCCI and ICCI graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in accounting.

“The path to becoming a qualified accountant is not easy,” said Sheree Ebanks CISPA CEO. “It takes a lot of dedication to finish a degree and then go on to complete a professional qualification like the CPA or ACCA. The Gala is one way in which we welcome new accountants into their future careers.”

The Officers and Council members of CISPA believe it is important to show their appreciation for these students’ efforts and dedication. Sheenah Hislop, CISPA President, said: “the event will allow CISPA to highlight the strength of accounting in the Cayman Islands, which is imperative to the continued success and development of Cayman’s financial services industry and related sectors of the economy.”

“The Gala allows the Cayman community to come together and acknowledge those who have put in countless hours to attain these phenomenal accounting achievements,” said Mr. Peter Small, Chairman of CISPA’s Membership Development Committee.

CISPA would like to thank the many sponsors who have come on board to support the Gala: Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, KRyS Global, CML Offshore, Grant Thornton, Rawlinson & Hunter, RSM Cayman, and Pinnacle Media.
