UPDATE: 38-year-old male in police custody for attempted murder

George Town Man Charged

The 38 year old George Town male arrested on Tuesday 16 June 2015 following a serious assault with a 31 year old male has been charged with;

Wounding with intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm
Attempted Murder

He is scheduled to appear in court today.

Detectives also wish to speak to the driver of a small blue compact vehicle seen on CCTV footage – this vehicle was almost struck by both oncoming vehicles prior to the incident. The driver is asked to contact Detective Inspector Collins Oremule on 516. 8746 or George Town Police Station – CID on 949. 4222.

At about 11:45 am today, there was an altercation between two males on Mary Street in the vicinity of Appleby. As a result of the altercation, a 31-year-old male resident of West Bay received serious and life threatening wounds to his neck. He was transported to the George Town Hospital by officers of the RCIPS (who were in the area at the time) where he is currently ongoing surgery. A 38-year-old male resident of George Town has been arrested for attempted murder, and he is in police custody.
