This October on HBO: exclusive premieres of “Spotlight,” “Vacation,” “Concussion,” “The Good Dinosaur” and “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.”

The following films premiere this October, exclusively on HBO:

spotlight-4·      A riveting true story and a super-powered ensemble cast are behind the 2016 Oscar® winner for Best Picture, Spotlight, which debuts on HBO on October 1. The film centers on a team of reporters from the Boston Globe who uncovered the massive child molestation cover-up by the local Catholic Archdiocese. Led by a cast including Oscar®-nominated stars Mark Ruffalo (HBO’s The Normal Heart), Michael Keaton (Birdman) and Rachel McAdams (HBO’s True Detective) along with Golden Globe® and Emmy®-nominated Liev Schreiber (HBO’s Ray Donovan) – the movie captivates audiences as it tackles one of the most sensitive and scandalous issues to ever impact the Catholic Church.

Remembering fond, childhood memories of his trip to Walley World, Rusty Griswold surprises his wife and kids with a cross-country excursion vacation to the park. Following in his father’s footsteps, Rusty and the family hit the road for much-needed family bonding time; but the promise of fun turns into one misadventure after another for the new generation of Griswolds and anyone who encounters them. After experiencing enormous pressure to ignore his findings, his colleagues, including Dr. Julian Bailes, portrayed by Oscar®-nominated actor Alec Baldwin, help his voice be heard and get the attention of the National Football League once and for all.

The film tells the tale of an Apatosaurus named Arlo and his new human friend as they travel through an unfamiliar landscape in order to reunite with Arlo’s family. The star-studded cast that lends their voices to the film includes Golden Globe®-winning actor Jeffrey Wright (HBO’s Angels in America and Westworld), Oscar®-winning actress Frances McDormand (HBO’s Olive Kitteridge), Sam Elliott and Anna Paquin (HBO’s True Blood).

The movie transports viewers right back to the fascinating world of cold war espionage and intrigue of the 1960s.
